Accessibility statement for Nordea API Market
Nordea is developing its digital services in order to be accessible for all our customers. Nordea’s goal is that all our services are available equally, regardless of the device, special needs or situation of our customers.
Nordea is following A and AA level criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guideline 2.1.

Accessibility status of the digital service
This website is partially compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, due to the non-compliances listed below. The target is to have the identified gaps fixed during 2022.

Perceivable
1.1.1 There are the following shortcomings:
- The text alternatives for images are mostly unclear and not informative.
- The iframe elements of the embedded videos have no titles.
1.3.1 There are the following shortcomings:
- In the main navigation, the currently active navigation item is not marked programmatically.
- The visual API console sections and steps are not clearly described for screen reader users.
- Some pages are missing a top-level heading.
- Some headings are not marked up programmatically as headings.
- In the documentation, code snippets are not clearly marked programmatically.
- In the documentation, some field description tables are not programmatically marked up as tables.
1.4.3 Some texts have insufficient colour contrast.
1.4.4 Starter Guide is not entirely readable when the text size has been increased to 200 %.
1.4.10 All parts of the site do not adapt well to a 320 px wide mobile screen.
1.4.11 Some visual elements have insufficient colour contrast:
- Links within body text are hard to distinguish from the surrounding text.

- The drop-down list items cannot be focused or selected using the keyboard.

2.4.3 The modal dialogs do not get keyboard focus when opened.
2.4.4 Some links have ambiguous targets.
2.4.6 The main heading on some pages does not uniquely describe the page content.
2.4.7 When navigating with a keyboard, the visual focus is not visible in any active element, except in Help Centre.

3.1.1 In Starter Guide, the site language has not been programmatically defined.
Robust
4.1.2 There are the following shortcomings:
- The state of a drop-down list is incorrectly stated.
- Some form fields lack programmatic labels.
- The comment field of the forum section is not easy to understand when using a screen reader.
4.1.3 There are no alternative methods for visual status messages and loading indicators.
